No damage to coated wires
The special cobblestone structure of zirconia ensures an optimum contact area and prevents damage to coated wires. The result: uniform tensile forces, smooth wire surfaces and a stable process. Our drawing tools are available in tempered or highly polished versions made of yellow or white zirconia (ZrO₂) - customised to your application.
Guide rollers made from silicon nitride
In addition to our drawing tools, we also offer guide rollers made of silicon nitride (Si₃N₄). These impress with:

Drawing cones and drawing rollers
Drawing cones and drawing rollers are essential tools in the wire drawing process, as they make a significant contribution to shaping and reducing the wire diameter. To ensure consistently high product quality, they must be particularly dimensionally stable, temperature-resistant and wear-resistant. Drawing rings
In the wire drawing process, drawing rings provide precise guidance and centring of the wire and are therefore also exposed to high stresses. Kyocera zirconia drawing rings are characterised by their excellent wear resistance, high temperature tolerance and pressure-resistant structure. The result: stable processes, minimised downtimes and durable components that meet the requirements of modern wire drawing machines.
Guide rollers
Guide rollers must withstand a variety of stresses, including abrasion, high temperatures and chemical corrosion. Silicon nitride guide rollers from Kyocera offer a high-quality, durable and versatile solution for your production processes. Their high strength and hardness make them wear-resistant and the excellent surface finish of silicon nitride also contributes to high efficiency and a long service life. Our guide rollers also have excellent thermal shock stability, can be reground and have a low specific weight. As a result, they start up very quickly and do not cause brake marks.
