Zirconia

Components made of zirconium oxide are able to withstand extreme loads. The ceramic material is used in a wide range of applications due to its high mechanical strength, resistance to wear and corrosion and low thermal conductivity. With its high fracture toughness, zirconium oxide can withstand considerable loads without breaking. These properties make it ideal for the manufacture of products such as drawing rings, drawing cones and drawing rollers, which are exposed to high mechanical stresses.

Zirconium oxide is also versatile in metal-ceramic composites. Coupled with our expertise in joining technology, components can be produced for special applications. Ceramic needles, high-pressure pistons and ceramic containment shells are used in demanding environments such as mechanical and plant engineering and the oil and gas industry. Thanks to the exceptional properties of zirconium oxide, these components offer superior performance and durability.

Zirconium oxide is therefore ideally suited for use in a wide range of industries and enables the development of highly specialized solutions for extreme conditions.
